CISC is governed by a volunteer board of directors according to the club’s bylaws. The board’s role is to oversee the delivery of the CISC mission, determine the policies and procedures for the conduct of the organization and monitor organizational performance. The board sets the strategic direction and works with the staff to implement it.
The board is comprised of seven to eleven directors who serve three-year terms. Board meetings take place at least six times each year and are open to the public, while standing committee meetings take place more often.
