Cook Inlet SC and Alaska Orthopedic Specialists are excited to announce a new partnership for the benefit of Alaska youth soccer players. This partnership is a great milestone in helping Cook Inlet SC carry out its mission to administer the best competitive and recreational youth soccer programs in the state, mentor the next generation of community leaders and help Alaskans develop healthy lifestyle habits through playing the beautiful game.
Alaska Orthopedic Specialists (AOS) is an orthopedic clinic, focusing on the treatment of the musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves of the body. They evaluate and treat patients of all ages—from infants to elderly adults—and offer comprehensive treatment for a variety of injuries and conditions caused by sports injuries, disabilities, accidents, or degenerative diseases. Their friendly staff welcomes patients of all ages — from infants to elderly adults. They offer comprehensive services, including orthopedic diagnoses and treatment for both lower and upper extremities, fractures, joint replacement, joint revision surgery, and sports medicine and their providers offer a combined specialty to give patients the best care in Alaska so they can get back to the active lifestyle they know and love.

As a major partner, in addition to its logo being featured on coaching gear, the Alaska Orthopedic Specialists logo will be overlaid onto all “Veo” livestreams and created video clips posted to the official Cook Inlet SC social media accounts . As the official Orthopedic Medicine partner, Alaska Orthopedic Specialists will also be the title sponsor for the “Cook Inlet SC Highlight of the Month” feature on Cook Inlet SC’s website, social media, and digital channels. And finally, AOS will have the opportunity to host in-person injury prevention talks for coaches, parents, and players as well as have a featured section on injury prevention in the triannual Cook Inlet SC Newsletter.
“We are most excited about this partnership and the opportunity to help give back to the community. To get our name out there, that we do good work and want to help take care of the kids,” said Dr. Mark Caylor.
Dr. Matthew Dow added, “Really helping to reach out to the community, having that good relationship with y’all. If anyone needs to be evaluated, they can contact us directly so we can help treat kids when they get injured, help keep them safe from getting injured, and help them keep playing.”
“For me, I love it because it’s a perfect partnership. Orthopedic injuries are very common in soccer and it’s not just knees, ankles, but sometimes shoulders, elbows and so to have a partnership where we can trust and make a referral where we can send people to, for us, that’s a big deal,” said Cook Inlet SC Executive Director Scott Hickox. “Kids get hurt and we want them to get well taken care of and get them healthy, playing again.”
With this new partnership, Cook Inlet SC is better equipped to serve Alaska youth and live up to its mission of delivering the best recreational and competitive soccer programs in the state. For information and opportunities to partner with Cook Inlet SC, please email pr@cookinletsc.com.
