Record financial aid available thanks to Northrim Bank

Cook Inlet Soccer Club (CISC) and Northrim Bank are excited to announce a new partnership for the benefit of Alaska youth. Through a generous donation from Northrim Bank, CISC is able to make a record amount of financial aid available over the next two years.

CISC board member Dylan Faber shared, “This partnership is a huge milestone in helping CISC remove financial barriers for Alaska families to participate in its programs. The impact of organized sports for youth and community development are immeasurable, and we are truly grateful to have this pillar of the community partner with CISC to benefit young Alaskans.”

Northrim Bank has performed banking services for CISC and its teams for many years. Most notably, Northrim Bank helped CISC traverse complicated COVID federal aid programs. Thanks to Northrim Bank’s guidance, CISC emerged from the 2020 COVID shutdown able to continue developing Alaska youth on and off the field.

Northrim Bank Chairman, President and CEO Joe Schierhorn commented, “We are pleased to partner with Cook Inlet Soccer Club to allow more youth to participate in athletics and learn life skills that will follow them throughout their lives. Northrim is proud to be Alaskan and part of that means supporting Alaskans in a variety of ways to encourage strong, healthy and active communities. We will be cheering on the youth of CISC and look forward to being a resource for their families.”

As a major partner, Northrim Bank’s logo will appear on the front of all competitive team jerseys, warm-up tops, training jerseys, fan gear, and coaching tops beginning in January 2022. Additionally, Northrim Bank representatives will donate time to lead periodic financial literacy seminars to help CISC families prepare for their financial futures.

Families are encouraged to learn more and apply by October 15 for CISC’s financial aid program for the ’21-’22 competitive season.
