
Welcome to the Score Sheet, Cook Inlet SC’s triannual newsletter intended to share the goings-on of Anchorage’s largest and Alaska’s most successful youth soccer club.
The idea behind the new design of the newsletter is meant to streamline the presentation of content, allowing the reader to take part in a more informative and interactive experience specific to their particular set of interests. Readers will find further details about our Competitive and Recreational programs, which may be pertinent to prospective players as well as our current members. Additionally, updates involving Alumni, information from the BOD, and announcements highlighting the support from our Community Partners will also be found in the Score Sheet.

In addition to being the most affordable competitive soccer program in Anchorage, the Cook Inlet SC Competitive program is the most successful in the state, winning seven state champions with an additional four finalists in the eighteen divisions in which the club competed in the 2024 Alaska Youth Soccer State Cup. Additionally, Cook Inlet SC is the only club in Alaska to have teams invited to play in multiple US Youth Soccer National League events.

COOK INLET SC, ALASKA ORTHOPEDIC SPECIALISTS PARTNER TO KEEP PLAYERS SAFE FROM GETTING INJURED AND KEEP PLAYING
Cook Inlet SC and Alaska Orthopedic Specialists are excited to announce a new partnership for the benefit of Alaska youth soccer players. This partnership is a great milestone in helping Cook Inlet SC carry out its mission to administer the best competitive and recreational youth soccer programs in the state, mentor the next generation of community leaders and help Alaskans develop healthy lifestyle habits through playing the beautiful game.
COOK INLET SC INTRODUCES THE TRAINING CENTER
In January , Cook Inlet SC introduced the Training Center, a program designed to help players take their game to the next level by improving their technical and physical skills in key areas such as ball mastery, first-touch, passing and receiving, and 1v1 attacking & defending.
CELEBRATING THE COOK INLET SC CLASS OF 2025
Cook Inlet SC held its annual Senior Signing Night event on March 26 at The Dome as the Club recognized the Class of 2025 one last time before they signed their Letters of Intent to play collegiate soccer this upcoming Fall.
USYS NATIONAL LEAGUE ELITE 64 REPORT: COOK INLET SC GIRLS TEAMS MAKING WAVES
Six Cook Inlet SC teams – 2006 Girls Elite, 2008 Girls Elite, 2009 Girls Elite, 2010 Girls Elite, 2011 Girls Elite, and 2012 Girls Elite – all competed in the US Youth Soccer National League: Elite 64 at events between January through April and showed why they earned their place in one of the nation’s top leagues.
USYS NATIONAL LEAGUE REPORT: FOUR BOYS TEAMS SHOW WELL IN JANUARY TRIP TO WASHINGTON
Four Cook Inlet SC teams – 2008 Boys, 2009 Boys, 2010 Boys Elite, and 2011 Boys – all competed in the US Youth Soccer National League: Northwest Conference in Seattle, Washington between January 24-26, 2025.
That’s what’s been going on with the Competitive program during the first third of 2025.

Anchorage’s most affordable, largest, and comprehensive youth recreational soccer program continues to see unprecedented growth, with over 800 players registering for the Winter 2025 & Spring 2025 Seasons respectively! Additionally, Cook Inlet SC’s Spring 2025 Pre-Comp Training Academy program has seen its largest class since its inception in 2022!

COOK INLET SC REC SOCCER SEASONS
Cook Inlet SC hosts multiple seven-week long recreational sessions throughout the year for players ages 3-17. Cook Inlet SC’s Recreational program is the only program in Alaska to play in The Dome during fall, winter, and spring sessions.
COOK INLET SC PRE-COMP TRAINING ACADEMY
The purpose of Cook Inlet SC’s Spring 2025 Pre-Comp Training Academy is to offer those players playing in CISC’s Recreational Soccer League who were born in 2017 and 2018 and are considering transitioning to competitive soccer an opportunity to supplement their recreational soccer experience by training with the Cook Inlet SC Competitive Coaching Staff over a six-week period prior to the Summer 2025 Pre-Competitive Soccer Season beginning in May.
That’s what’s been going on with the Recreational program during the first third of 2025.
Here’s a rundown of what to expect for the middle third of the year:
CISC SUMMER 2025 OUTDOOR REC SOCCER SEASON
For players born between 2008-2021, the seven-week season will commence on June 2 and conclude on July 17, 2025 with practices and games taking place between Monday through Thursday evenings (depending on the division). All age groups will practice once per week for an hour with the second day being reserved for games.
U.K. INTERNATIONAL SOCCER CAMPS
For the Summer 2025 season, Cook Inlet SC is proud to announce it’s again partnering with U.K. International Soccer Camps to offer TWO week-long soccer camps (June 2-6 & June 23-27) & ONE four-day camp (June 30-July 3) for players between the ages of 4-14 years old.
SUMMER 2025 PRE-COMP ID CAMP
The purpose of Cook Inlet SC’s Pre-Comp ID Camp is to offer those players playing in CISC’s Recreational Soccer League who were born in 2017, 2018 & 2019 and are considering transitioning to competitive soccer an opportunity to be assessed and prepare accordingly for competitive soccer by training with the Cook Inlet SC Competitive Coaching Staff over a four-day camp prior to the 2025-2026 Competitive Soccer Season kicking-off in September 2025.
Registration will OPEN on June 2, 2025.
CISC FALL 2025 OUTDOOR REC SOCCER SEASON
For players born between 2008-2021, seven-week season will commence on August 2 and conclude on September 20, 2025 with practices and games taking place on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings and/or Saturday mornings (depending on the division). The U6-U8 Divisions will play once per week with practices and games combined within the one-hour session. The U10-U15 Divisions will practice once per week for an hour with the second day being reserved for games. The U18 Division will play once per week with practices and games combined within the one-hour session.
Registration will OPEN on June 9, 2025.
