THE SCOUTING REPORT: Q1’24

Greetings!

As Anchorage’s largest and Alaska’s most successful youth soccer club kicked off the first quarter of the year, Cook Inlet SC excelled beyond any and all previous expectations with its Recreational program seeing continued growth and its Competitive program sending an unprecedented numbers of teams out of state to compete (and see success) in some of the nation’s top events! And with each goal scored and each save made, the club moved another step closer towards its goal of becoming a sporting powerhouse within the region. And with such efforts, we are proud of the accomplishments of our players, coaches, team managers, treasurers, families, alumni, and staff, and are grateful for all of their support throughout the start of the year.

With that, please enjoy below a rundown of club news from the first three months of 2024 both on and off the pitch!

FROM THE DESK OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

This is the time of year when sunlight returns to Alaska and we start looking forward to Summer soccer in Alaska. As we look forward to the transition from playing soccer inside back outdoors, I would like to say thank you to all of our Cook Inlet SC families and our sponsors. We greatly appreciate your loyalty and commitment to our Club and players. Currently, our older players are off with their high school teams, our Pre-Comp Training Academy is in full swing, and we are in the middle of our Spring Recreational season.

Over the past three months, we have been busy planning our Spring and Summer programs. Our Recreational soccer program continues its unprecedented growth while on our Competitive side we have seen unprecedented success. All of this continues to create a buzz of excitement at Cook Inlet SC for what is next.

I am looking forward to seeing many of you at training sessions, league games, tournaments, and camps over the next three months.

Sincerely,

Scott Hickox

Cook Inlet SC Executive Director
