Cook Inlet SC’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Steven Gaulin has been selected as our new Director of Recreational Soccer.
Steven is already an active member of the Cook Inlet SC community, serving as an assistant coach in our competitive program. He brings experience in youth coaching, business operations, team leadership, and customer service. As a father of six, Steven also understands the recreational program from a parent’s perspective and recognizes the importance of clear communication, organized programming, supportive coaches, and an environment where every child feels welcome.
Steven will succeed Jason Leonardis, whose leadership has transformed Cook Inlet SC’s recreational program and strengthened the experience for thousands of players, parents, coaches, and volunteers.
During Jason’s tenure, the program became more organized, communicative, safe, and community-focused. He established clear expectations for coaches and families, improved volunteer screening and support, enhanced uniform distribution, strengthened field operations, and maintained a visible and approachable presence throughout each season. His attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement helped make the recreational program what it is today.
Steven shared the following message with Cook Inlet SC families:
“Jason has built an incredible foundation for Cook Inlet SC’s recreational program, and I am honored to have the opportunity to build upon it. My goal is to support our coaches and volunteers, communicate clearly with families, and provide an organized, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for every player. I look forward to listening, learning, and working with our entire recreational community as we begin this next chapter.”
