
Welcome to the Score Sheet, Cook Inlet SC’s triannual newsletter intended to share the goings-on of Anchorage’s largest and Alaska’s most successful youth soccer club.
The Summer started with unprecedented success for Comp teams competing at national events out-of-state before culminating with the club winning more state championships than any other soccer club in Alaska, to close out the season. On the Rec side, over 1,000 kids registered for its Summer & Fall Outdoor seasons to continue its claim as Anchorage’s largest youth soccer program. And finally, the Training Center continued to see demand from players to fuel its growth as the region’s elite technical training program.

IBeing the most affordable competitive soccer in Anchorage, the Cook Inlet SC Competitive program is the most successful in the state, winning EIGHT state champions with an additional THREE finalists in the sixteen divisions in which the club competed in the 2025 Alaska Youth Soccer State Cup. Additionally, Cook Inlet SC is the only club in Alaska to have teams invited to play in multiple US Youth Soccer National League events.
Beyond a favorable trophy haul from in-state tournaments over the Summer, check out below other major highlights from our Comp program over the middle third of the year:
USYS FAR WEST REPORT: COOK INLET SC TEAMS SHOW WELL IN IDAHO
Four Cook Inlet SC teams – 08G Elite, 10G Elite, ,11G Elite & 12B Elite – traveled to Boise, ID to compete at the 2025 Far West Regional Championships, the region’s most prestigious national youth soccer tournament, between June 20-25.
All teams represented Cook Inlet SC with distinction with the highlight having to be the 2010 Girls Elite team finishing as Finalists their respective age group.

USYS NATIONALS REPORT: ELITE SHOWING IN THE SUNSHINE STATE
Not one, but TWO Cook Inlet SC teams – 06G Elite 64 & 09G Elite 64 – competed at the 2025 USYS National Championships in Orlando, FL between July 22-27. The National Championships showcase the country’s premier talent against the best competition to crown the 13U-19U Boys and Girls national champion.
It was a series of firsts with this event being the first time, not just one, but TWO Alaskan teams have made Nationals back-to-back. The other being the first time an Alaskan team has made it out of the Group stage at Nationals. Congratulations to the players and coaches of the 2009 Girls Elite 64 team for making it to the Semifinals.

STATE CUP REPORT: EIGHT TEAMS ARE TOPS IN ALASKA IN 2025
EIGHT Cook Inlet SC teams – 15B Red, 13G, 11B Elite, 11G Elite, 10G Elite, 09B, 09G Elite & 08G Elite – all earned the right to call themselves state champions at the 2025 AYS State Cup in Fairbanks, AK between August 7-10.
In addition to the 2025 State Cup winners, Cook Inlet SC saw an additional THREE teams make it to the Finals in the sixteen divisions offered at Alaska Youth Soccer’s crown jewel event.

SIGNIFICANT COOK INLET SC REPRESENTATION AT FAR WEST REGION ODP CAMP
Cook Inlet SC saw FIFTEEN players selected to participate in the “Invite Only” ODP Region IV camp this past July in Salt Lake City!
Players invited to camp had the opportunity to be selected for the ODP Region IV team, which competes against other ODP Regional Select Teams at a National Scouting tournament. Players selected then have an opportunity to be seen and invited to the ODP National Team pool.

OVER 500 TRYOUT FOR COOK INLET SC COMP
When Cook Inlet SC hosted Tryouts for its Competitive teams on August 18-19, over 500 players attended to try and earn a spot with Alaska’s most successful youth soccer club.

2015 BOYS SHINE IN FIRST TRIP OUT-OF-STATE
Two Cook Inlet SC 2015 Boys teams traveled to Tukwila, WA over Labor Day weekend to compete in their first out-of-state tournament, the Starfire Labor Day Cup!
The annual event which features top teams from across the Pacific Northwest saw the 2015 Boys Red team win their age group with dominate performances in each game of the top division while the 2015 Boys Navy team made it to the Finals in their division.

That’s what’s been going on with the Competitive program during the middle third of 2025.
Here’s a rundown of what to expect for the final third of the year:
- Move into The Dome in October
- USYS National League (September-December)
- Alaska Premier Soccer League (October-December)
- New Competitive Kits from Soccer.com

The start of the 2025-2026 Competitive Season also marks the beginning of the biannual kit cycle.
Every two years Adidas updates its soccer attire and this update coincides with a new sponsor for our Competitive jerseys. Cook Inlet SC would like to welcome Alaska Orthopedic Specialists as the proud sponsor for the back of our Competitive jersey with their logo just above the numbers.
With these changes, all Cook Inlet SC Competitive players will need to purchase new jerseys for the upcoming year. The new look Adidas kits are available now through Soccer.com. If you are new to our Competitive program, please make sure you connect with your Coach and Team Manager before ordering to make sure there are no duplicate numbers and to answer any questions about the required items.

Cook Inlet SC hosts multiple seven-week long recreational sessions throughout the year for players ages 3-17. Additionally, Cook Inlet SC’s Rec program is the only recreational program in Alaska to play in The Dome during fall, winter, and spring sessions.
And as Anchorage’s most affordable, largest, and comprehensive youth recreational soccer program continues to see exponential growth, with over 1,900 players registering for the first four seasons of 2025.

SUMMER 2025 PRE-COMP ID CAMP REPORT: THE FUTURE IS LOOKING BRIGHT FOR COOK INLET SC
CONGRATULATIONS to the graduating class of the Summer 2025 Pre-Comp ID Camp, which took place between July 21-24!!
The purpose of Cook Inlet SC’s Pre-Comp ID Camp was to offer those U9 players playing in CISC’s Rec program and were considering transitioning to competitive soccer an opportunity to be trained and assessed by the Cook Inlet SC Competitive Coaching Staff over a four-day camp prior to the 2025-2026 Competitive Soccer Season kicking-off in September 2025.

Moving on from the middle third of 2025, here’s what to expect for the final third of the year for the Cook Inlet SC Rec program:
CISC FALL 2025 INDOOR REC SOCCER SEASON
For players born between 2008-2022, seven-week season will commence on October 4 and conclude on November 22, 2025 with practices and games taking place on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings and/or Saturday mornings (depending on the division).
Registration is currently OPEN with spots FILLING UP QUICKLY!
